Can I describe my real home?
Yes — and you should. Real, specific details (a fifth-floor apartment, a balcony with afternoon light) come out far more fluently than something invented, and this topic is deliberately about your own living situation.
What if my home is small or ordinary?
It doesn't need to be impressive — it needs to be described well. Even a small flat scores highly if you add what you like about it and why. Delivery and detail matter more than the home itself.
What tense should I use?
Present simple for describing your current home ("I live in an apartment", "my favourite room is..."), and conditional or future forms for an ideal or future home ("I'd love a house with a garden"). Mixing them accurately lifts the grammar score.
